Custom Processing

We've streamlined custom ordering for you into four easy steps. 1 . Pay initial deposit online, 2. Call the butcher with your order, 3. Pick-up or delivery, 4. Final payment. Custom processing is done with our butcher, Avon Locker in Darlington, WI. After reserving your custom quarter, half or whole with us on our online shop, we'll schedule with you an upcoming existing or new butcher date. Right after your butcher date, you'll simply call Avon to give them your specific cutting instructions. This is where you can ask for more roasts or more sausage. Its called customer for a reason! You get exactly what you want. They are very helpful and can walk you through the entire animal to make sure you get everything you want. About 2 weeks after your butcher date, your meat will be ready. We will pick up your meat from Avon and handle their payment for processing for you, and you can meet us at the next pick-up or schedule a delivery (for an additional cost) to get your meat. Upon receipt of your meat (bring plenty of coolers!) your balance will be due. This will include a reimbursement of the processing costs. 

Custom vs. Bundle?

What's the difference between a custom 1/4, 1/2, or whole and a 1/4, 1/2, or whole bundle? A bundle is assorted from our current inventory. This is the quickest and most convenient way to save big on eating healthy. You get a little bit of everything, and you can get it at the next pick-up date, or inquire about a separate delivery. Some cuts that quickly go out of stock (e.g. ribeye, flank, skirt, and hanger) may have been excluded and replaced with other equivalent products and value.

You can save even more with a custom order, where you can save an additional 4% off of a la carte prices (packaging savings), and you can customize your order to get exactly what you want. Pricing is based on individual hanging weight and processing. There is some lead time with custom orders- we will confirm with you on our next available butcher dates, and expected availability.
