Whole Chicken (Stew Hen)

These whole chickens are from our laying flock, after they are retired from laying eggs. As a result, they are a little smaller, and not as meaty. They still have plenty of meat on them, and it is rich in flavor! With that richness some may be a bit tougher, due to being older, but if cooked slower and with care you won't notice a difference! 

Roast with your choice of herbs for a warm, delicious dinner! Pasture raised chickens, moved daily. Supplemented with organic feed. These are perfect for making bone broth or chicken soup or stew!
